About the Artist

One of Maui 's most acclaimed romantic impressionists, Robert Morrison Wearn uses oils to paint emotionally stirring subjects. His images instantly create a personal connection

between the artist's vision and the viewer.   He seeks the perfect balance between spontaneity and refinement to achieve a harmonious ethereal experience. 

Robert traveled across America, airbrushing over 70,000 commissioned pieces in his commercial career.   His art now graces collections from coast to coast to Hawaii and the rest of the world. Nearly 20 years ago. Robert moved to Maui where his relationship with the sea deepened. Here in the Islands , he has been fortunate enough to have had first hand encounters with the subjects he so sensitively portrays.

A highly trained artist, Robert began painting over 30 years ago in an art-oriented community in North Carolina .  He became totally absorbed in the craft, technique and spirit of his work. Robert majored in painting and print-making at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and earned a degree in Fine Art .   Achieving early commercial success, he devised a plan to see the country and the world in order to experience life and pass this excitement on to his audience.

Robert is now an independent artist, and makes himself available through commissions, visits to his studio and on location in the "Great Outdoors".  As an owner of his work, you may join many others who have brought Robert Morrison Wearn's art into their homes, from Japan to New York to Europe .
